Conclusion:

According to the comparison, Xiaomi Redmi 4 offers the most value for money in terms of specifications offered on the sheet. Redmi 4 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 along with 2 GB RAM , a better 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera. Then there’s also the fact that the Redmi 4 features a more polished-looking design with a matte-finished metal body.

Indeed, the only area where the Moto C Plus beats the Redmi 4 is when it comes to software. Lenovo seems to be continuing the tradition of delivering smartphones with the latest Android software and with the Moto C Plus, you do get an almost stock version of Android 7.0. With 2 GB RAM, the choice really boils down to what software you prefer.

This $150 Intel-powered bat sensor promises to transform cricket by making your bat smarter

This $150 Intel-powered bat sensor promises to transform cricket by making your bat smarter Now that the ICC Champions Trophy is done and dusted, and yes, we lost, let’s talk about some of the new technology that was introduced this time around. In particular, we’ll be taking a look at a brand new Intel Curie powered bat sensor and an enhanced VR experience for fans and coaches alike. Intel invited us to try the technology for ourselves. This is what we’ve learned. Before I delve into the details, however, a disclosure is in order. As horrifying as it sounds, I have to admit that I’ve never been much into cricket. I do love technology, which is why my focus here will be on the technology that’s at play here. A new type of sensor The bat sensor uses a coin-sized module, which is a computer of sorts, and it’s built on the Intel Curie platform. It’s a tiny, little thing, about the size of a coin, and can be attached to any bat in the market today. ntel describes Curie as...

Google wants to use AI and targeting to control the spread of extremism-related content on YouTube

Google wants to use AI and targeting to control the spread of extremism - related content on YouTube Keeping in mind the growing levels of extremist content showing up online (the steps taken by tech giants to fight it), video streaming giant YouTube has added four more steps to its plan that should not only help with identifying and removing such content, but preventing it from getting uploaded in the first place. Kent Walker, General Counsel, Google explained, “Terrorism is an attack on open societies, and addressing the threat posed by violence and hate is a critical challenge for us all. Google and YouTube are committed to being part of the solution.” In a blog post, which also appeared in The Financial Times, he said that Google was “working with government, law enforcement and civil society groups to tackle the problem of extremism online.” While Google has been working to identify and take down extremism and terrorism related content for years, the company believes th...

The Microsoft Surface Laptop is a use-and-throw device; the only way to repair it is to destroy it

The Microsoft Surface Laptop is a use-and-throw device; the only way to repair it is to destroy it The recently launched Microsoft Surface Laptop is indeed the MacBook Air alternative that Windows fans had been waiting for. While the laptop has yet to arrive in India (along with the new Surface Pro), the team at iFixit got their hands on one and the Surface Laptop, surprisingly, got a zero for repairability. In short, Microsoft it seems, has delivered to its customers a use-and-throw laptop… that starts from $1,000. However, it is not the Surface Laptop’s repairability score (or the lack of it) that is surprising, but the fact that nothing inside can be actually be replaced without damaging the laptop. Upon looking closer, iFixit could not find any screws that hold the upper and lower surfaces of the bottom half of the device together. The only way for iFixit to open up the case was to tear apart the well-bonded Alcantara fabric, which basically bonds the keyboard to the...
